Meet Nishant

I’m Nishant Patel, a fellowship trained endourologist and the founder of SafeHavenMD. I built it because I’ve lived through burnout, depression and the fear that asking for help could end my career. For years, I carried that weight in silence, believing physicians couldn’t be vulnerable. It nearly broke me.

That struggle gave me purpose. SafeHavenMD is the space I wish I had a place where no physician ever has to fight alone.

I’m Grant Gangeness, a biomedical engineer and product leader who’s spent nearly a decade in healthcare innovation. I saw the relentless pressure physicians face the demand for perfection, endless hours & the toll it takes on their well being. That experience opened my eyes to the urgent need for change.

At SafeHavenMD, my goal is to create a platform that protects their well being & restores balance to a profession that gives so much.

How does the first conversation work?

Your first conversation with SafeHavenMD is designed to feel safe and supportive from the very start. There are no complicated forms or rigid steps. Instead, we begin by listening to what you are experiencing whether it is burnout, stress, anxiety or something else affecting your life as a physician. Our trained team will help you talk openly about your challenges and guide you toward the right next steps. It is a conversation focused on your needs with no pressure and no judgment.

No. Your privacy and professional reputation are always protected at SafeHavenMD. Everything you share stays completely confidential and off the record. Nothing is reported to your hospital, licensing board or employer unless there is an immediate risk of harm to yourself or others as required by law. For physicians this means you can seek help without fear that it will affect your career or professional standing.

You will be speaking with trained physicians and licensed mental health professionals who understand the unique pressures of medical practice. Many of them have worked in healthcare settings or have personal experience as physicians themselves. They already know the stress, long hours and emotional weight that come with being a doctor. This allows you to focus on getting help instead of having to explain what your day-to-day reality looks like.

We know that when you reach out for help you should not have to wait long. Most physicians are connected with support within 24 to 48 hours often even sooner. Urgent cases are always prioritized so you can talk to someone as quickly as possible. Our goal is to make sure help is available when you need it without delays or unnecessary barriers.
